Fairfield Investment Group was founded in 2013 as an independent group with $50,000 in seed money. The group was established to bring together superb students that share a passion for investing and understanding the dynamics of financial markets.
Since inception, Fairfield Investment Group, through collaboration and group-work, has challenged students through hands-on experience and aided in preparing them for their futures endeavors in the industry.
Fairfield Startup Club
The Fairfield StartUp Club at Fairfield University is a student-led organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial skills and innovation among its members. The club offers workshops, guest lectures, and networking events to help students develop and launch their own business ventures. A key initiative is the annual Fairfield StartUp Showcase, a "Shark Tank"-style competition where students pitch their business ideas to investors for seed funding. In 2024, the 12th annual Showcase featured five teams presenting their innovative ideas to an investor panel in front of a live audience. The club also provides access to mentorship from alumni entrepreneurs and local business partners, supporting students in refining their business plans and navigating the startup landscape.
